About Yoga Ayurveda
This style is a combination of Hatha yoga with influences of other practices. Specifically, the classes are focused on the breath, flowing between the postures seeking to open the heart. Francesca utilizes mantras, to help synchronize the body, mind, and spirit which benefits the nervous system. YOGA literally means “union”. Yoga is the science of living well and, as such, is intended to be incorporated into daily life. It works on all aspects of a person: physical, vital, mental, emotional, psychic, and spiritual. Yoga works on awakening the self and expanding self-awareness. The goal is to awaken the consciousness of our body, mind and soul using breathing techniques, asanas, mantras and meditation.
Ayurveda is considered by many schools to be the oldest healing science. Ayurveda means “The Science of Life”, in Sanskrit. Ayurvedic knowledge originated in India more than 5.000 years ago and is often called the “Mother of All Healing”, Ayurveda works to harmonize our internal and external worlds.
Meditation or Dhyana is the seventh limb of the Ashtanga Yoga system as propagated by Sage Patanjali, this stage is attained by the practitioner after mastering the Dharana which is the capacity of the mind to focus itself on a constant. Traditionally Dhyana or Meditation is explained as “That which flows effortlessly”
One-on-one yoga focuses on the inner process, takes us to the experience of peace, satisfaction, and balance, with a practice focused on your being and beyond the physical focus. We are unique and different beings, just as practicing “one to one” can help you focus on Yoga in an authentic, and natural way.
About Francesca
Picture yourself walking into an Art Gallery….
People walk in silence surrounded by beauty. Now, imagine staying still and taking a long and deep breath, shouting out with all your force. It’s forbidden, of course, it is. But if you could do it, if you didn’t fear the rules you would hear it rising in the silence as the most beautiful, unexpected, and revolutionary sound of liberation. Mine is the story of that shout. A shout feared, silenced, and ignored for too long.
My previous lifestyle was this way, and it ended.
I was a career woman that fought to conquer her own spot in a misogynistic world, surrounded by friends and family, luxury and beauty, traveling the world for work and pleasure. I had a cozy and stylish home, love affairs ….. I was happy. Apparently. But I wasn’t. Later I met yoga in a pivotal moment in my life. That was a time of inner chaos and suffering. Yoga was the reason for a change and, suddenly, all started in alignment with the Universe itself.
If yoga was the reason, Ibiza was the shelter. I’ve been loving and visiting this magic island for years before moving and starting the second chapter of my life. Here I found my own balance and the positive energy I was looking for, changing my lifestyle while reaching awakening, consciousness, and awareness of myself. After seven years of practicing, I felt the need to go deeper into the knowledge of this amazing discipline so I moved to Goa, to attend a course to educate myself as a yoga teacher at the SWAN Yoga Retreat.
That was the place where I received the call, my call. From that time, nothing has been the same anymore.
What You Receive
My Yoga Nidra
The yoga of aware sleep
Yoga Nidra or psychic sleep is a practice that comes from the roots of the Tantras Nyasa system.
Nayasa means to “establish”, thereby the Yogis used to invoke and establish consciousness within every part of the body. Simultaneously the Yogi has to understand and master the working of the consciousness in the body. This required a great Mastery over the senses.
In the modern time, Swami Satyananda Saraswati (my Guru’s Master) has been credited for creating the modern method of the practice of Yoga Nidra. This is a simple practice of guided meditation. Great relaxation is achieved both on the physical and mental levels.
During Yoga Nidra practice the body is completely relaxed, and the practitioner becomes systematically and increasingly aware of the inner world by following a set of verbal instructions, in a state of full consciousness.
Yoga Nidra is used to Overcome Traumas. Furthermore, one of the most important studies to prove that yoga Nidra helps manage trauma involving combat veterans with PTSD (post-traumatic disorders). The Department of Defense worked with the Integrative Restoration Institute to develop a yoga Nidra protocol known as iRest for traumatized veterans. The practice involved recognizing negative feelings and sensations and then imagining their opposites.
Other benefits: Improve Your Sleep. Reduce Insomnia. Detach From Your Thoughts. Release Tension and Pain. Deep connection with the self.
The Blissful Relaxation
When awareness is separate and distinct from the varieties (mind fluctuations) when walking, dream and deep sleep pass like clouds, yet awareness of Atma (soul) remains.
This is the experience of total relaxation.
My Hatha Yoga
Hatha Yoga is a system of yoga that is specifically designed to give the practitioner perfect mastery over the physical body. It includes Asana (physical postures). Pranayama (breathing practices). Mudra (psychic gestures). Bandha (energy locks). It also includes the practices of physical and mental purification called Shatkarmas. These six cleansing practices consist of Neti, Dhauti, Basti, Nauli, Kapalabhati and Trataka.
Traditionally the practices of Hatha Yoga is been used by the yogis to prepare them for the advanced practices of Raja Yoga (in Sanskrit, the word raja means “king,” or one who has achieved self-mastery. While the word Yoga itself means “union”, thus a Raja Yogi is someone who achieved self-mastery by the means of yoga and has established absolute control over the body and the mind).

My Meditation Yogic
The Yogic Definition
Meditation or Dhyana is the seventh limb of the Ashtanga Yoga system as propagated by Sage Patanjali, this stage is attained by the practitioner after mastering the Dharana which is the capacity of the mind to focus itself on a constant. Traditionally Dhyana or Meditation is explained as “That which flows effortlessly” meaning its a stage or condition in the mind of the practitioner where the Yogi is able to be in the state of flow, where the separation of the subject, the object and the act of observance has merged into each-other.
Meditation as a new concept of living in the modern time
Meditation from its eastern roots means “to cultivate” (in Sanskrit) or “to become familiar with” (in Tibetan). During the practice, you experience self-observation and self-development. The aim of Meditation is to become familiar with our thoughts and feelings in order to transform the quality of our experiences in relationship to ourselves and others around us.
As a practitioner and follower of quantum science, I have integrated yogic meditation with practices based on the law of attraction. Furthermore, you develop the ability to become more skilled at altering your brainwave patterns. Subsequently, you are able to move into your subconscious mind, where you can build your new reality.
